(Contributor’s Note: Upon speaking with the others, I thought it might be a good idea to do an article every so often dedicated to bands, single musicians, t.v. personalities, and movie stars that have seem to “gone quiet”. All of us have asked the question, “Whatever happened to…?” concerning one or all of the four aformentioned titles. These will be based on our own curiosities, but I am asking that you give us a chance to answer this question for you also. Just go to the contact form on the main page, fill it out, and give us your ideas for wondering, “Whatever happened To…?”—-OverkillWFO)
RA
Since I first heard ‘Fallen Angels’ from their 2005 release (and second record), “Duality”, I’ve loved almost everything Ra has done since. A beautifully unique and wonderfully creative metal band incorporating exotic Egyptian musicianship with hard and melodic guitar. Sahaj Ticotin’s vocals are his own, sounding like nobody but him and cannot be duplicated.
Fallen Angels

Upon thoroughly enjoying “Duality”, I had to hear what they had done previously, so I searched for any information on these guys. I came across their album, “From One”, which they released in 2002. Both first albums being done with Universal Records. It’s tough to decide on a single one to play for you all, but here is the one I have chosen.
Skorn

In 2006, they came out with a live album entitled “Raw” and released by Cement Shoe Records. It had all live tracks, except one, which was to come out on their next full-length album. Below is said release.
Don’t Turn Away

Ticotin started his own record label, Sahaja Music Records, and released “Black Sun” in 2008. The album hit #2 on the Heatseekers charts and #30 on the Independent charts. No doubt due to the above single and this one below.
Broken Hearted Soul
Now, I can’t decide which record I love better, but their 2009 release, “Black Sheep”, is up there. Simply because of the 2 songs below.
Crazy Little Voices
Supernova
So, you may be saying, “Shut the fuck up and tell us what happened to this band.” Well, this is what I know. They re-released “Black Sheep” in 2010 through Sahaj’s label, of course, but with a different song lineup. Sahaj Ticotin is finishing up his solo project, “Sahaj-Another Minute”, with a release date sometime this spring. Afterward (hell yes), Ra will be working on finishing new material with a promising release date on or around Christmas this year.
So never fear, Ra will be back this year.

There’s going to be a new Ra song on Monday, available for preview on soundcloud and purchase on itunes! Stay tuned!
From One I really dug. Even saw them live when that shit came out. Pretty cool stuff. Never really bothered with them after that though, my taste just expanded beyond them I suppose. First album is way cool though, especially for radio rock.
